Why is there so much pain and suffering in the world, When we are all so capable of so much compassion
Why is there so much hatred in the world,
When we are all so capable of so much love
Why are there so many lies in the world,
When we are all capable of telling the truth
Why is there so much suspicion in the world,
When we are all capable of trust
Why is the world still filled with fear and aggression,
oppression and hostility,
When we are all Friends, Brothers and Sisters,
Husbands, Fathers, Wives and Mothers
And in the end we are members of a diverse family
Let us open up our hearts, and free our minds
Let no wall be built between us, no colour or race to judge us
Let us reach out and share our true feelings,
And fill the world with the love
That we know we are all capable of.
