STUDENTS from Ibn Khuldoon National School are celebrating after emerging as the overall winning team in the 2006-2007 TradeQuest programme.
TradeQuest - The Investment Trading Challenge - is a business and education partnership programme operated in Bahrain under the auspices of the American Association of Bahrain, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain, the Bahrain Stock Exchange and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance.
Around 62 students from public and private schools took part in the simulated stock-trading programme.
Results were announced at a lunch held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which was attended by the students and their families, programme organisers, Education Ministry officials and other guests.
Chief guests included Central Bank of Bahrain governor Rasheed Al Maraj, US Ambassador William Monroe, American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain chairman Khalid Al Zayani and president William Khouri.
Ibn Khuldoon National School emerged overall winner, followed by Al Noor International School and the Government Secondary Schools team.
The Ibn Khuldoon National School team was made up of Khaled Saad, Walid Barake, Abdulal Abdulla, Tareq Noor, Rawan Maki, Habiba Azab, Sara Fakhro and Sandra Goel.
