A TWO-WEEK Indian food festival began last night at the Delmon International Hotel, Manama, to coincide with India's 60th Independence Day celebrations.
The festival is being held daily from 7pm to midnight at the hotel's CafŽ Sayah, which will be transformed into an authentic Mughal Darbar.
A troupe of authentic ghazal singers have been flown in especially from India for the event and they will perform daily from 8pm until midnight.
The festival, which will continue until August 31, features a range of Indian cuisine including vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, tikkas, kebabs as well as traditional snacks and sweets.
Entry is BD4.500 per person and groups of 10 or more are offered a 10 per cent discount on the entrance charge.
