OVER 10,000 ghazal, semi-classical, Hindustani and Carnatic music fans are expected to turn out for a concert next month featuring two popular singers from India.
Tickets for the Centrepoint Desert Symphony concert were launched last night at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain.
The open-air concert is taking place on October 14 at the Pakistan School, Isa Town, and includes appearances by Hariharan and K S Chitra.
Part of the funds raised from the show will be donated to the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society to set up a computer lab.
Donor passes are priced at BD100 to admit four and BD25 to admit one, and while family circle tickets are priced at BD25 to admit four and BD10 for single entry.
A BD10 pass in the friends circle will admit three, while BD4 passes will admit one and tickets for the general circle are priced at BD2 for single entry.
The event is being presented by Credimax and organised by Synergy Middle East. Tickets will be available at Marina Mall. Other corporate supporters of the event beside Centrepoint are Damas, Fabindia, Qatar Airways, InterContinental Regency Bahrain, Gulf Daily News, Voice FM, Kairali TV, Union Press and KSDi.
