MANAMA: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) yesterday announced that the monthly issue of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 325 per cent.

Subscriptions worth BD19.5 million were received for the BD6m issue, which carries a maturity of 91 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on Wednesday and matures on April 1 next year, is 1.75pc.

The securities are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of Bahrain. This is issue number 92 of Sukuk Al Salam securities.
