EUROPEAN Tour record-holder Philip Golding is set to compete in the 46th Bahrain Open Golf Championship, reports Patrick Salomon.
Golding appeared in the European Tour Qualifying School a record 18 times, most recently in 2007. That year, he secured his card for a seventh time to make a return to the European circuit.
The Englishman is one of 12 professional golfers set to compete in this year's Open, which takes place at Awali Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.
A total of 95 participants have signed up for the prestigious annual event. The players are from the UK, US, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and host national Bahrain, among others.
Golding will be one of the more well-known competitors on Awali club's browns, along with compatriot and defending champion Andrew Marshall.
