MANAMA: Albaraka Banking Group launched a drive to implement new unified corporate identity across its subsidiaries. It announced the appointment of Intermarkets Bahrain as their communications consultant yesterday at a signing ceremony hosted at their head office in the Diplomatic Area.
The appointment comes into play as Albaraka Banking Group progresses towards implementing its new unified corporate identity across its subsidiaries in 12 countries and more than 280 branches regionally and internationally.
"The unified corporate identity of our bank is one of the most important strategic projects, which we have been planning for the last three years," said said Albaraka Banking Group president and chief executive Adnan Ahmed Yousif.
"We were waiting for the right time to proceed with this development and now under the guidance of an appointed taskforce, which comprises of general managers from and outside Bahrain, department heads and led by our deputy chief executive the past 18 months have been invested in conducting extensive market research and brand audits while planning and building a practical and compelling brand strategy for the unified identity.
"The aim is to develop an identity that portrays Albaraka as a forward-moving entity with strong Islamic beliefs in parallel to being a unified strong entity in Islamic banking.
"The new identity will be the start of a complete transformation in the way Albaraka will operate locally, regionally and internationally, while proudly reflecting its wealth of achievements and experience from the past three decades."
"The selection of Intermarkets Bahrain was not a very difficult decision for us as we had seen their work, especially in the field of banking and finance and their rich experience in managing the implementation of identity transformation," he said.
"The responsible committee has put in great efforts in finalising Intermarkets as the agency in accordance with our standards and code of best practices.
"The enormous reach of their offices throughout the region and their strong network support in some of our key operating countries will help us in achieving our goals in the Mena region."
