A CHARITY event will be held by non-profit Filipino organisation Triskelion International Kingdom of Bahrain and the Philippine Embassy tomorrow.

The FIESTA ng OWWA at HATID SAYA sa BAHRAIN 2009 (Feast of OWWA and Merry-Making in Bahrain 2009), starts at noon at the Delmon Hotel poolside, Manama.

It will feature Filipino games, traditions, entertainment, a raffle, bingo bonanza and food stalls.

The highlight will be a parade of Filipinas with their consorts called 'Flowers of May', in their best gowns and outfits.

"It aims at sharing the Filipino culture with people of Bahrain, strengthening unity and camaraderie in the community and supporting the OWWA Tuloy Aral Programme," said organisers.

The scholarship programme provides assistance for underprivileged boys and girls for their education from primary school through college.

Proceeds raised through sponsorship and pledges will go to the cause.

Bahrain Financing Company is the major sponsor.
