THE sample 'B' analysis of Bahrain's under-fire Olympic champion Rashid Ramzi has been rescheduled to June 18.
The test was originally scheduled to be conducted yesterday in Paris.
According to the International Association of Athletics Federations, Ramzi had requested for the new date to give more time for his team of experts to prepare the case for his defence.
The opening of Ramzi's 'B' sample was first scheduled by the International Olympic Committee after it emerged that a re-test of blood samples given by Ramzi during last year's Beijing Olympics were positive for CERA.
The substance is an advanced version of the blood-boosting drug EPO.
Ramzi is therefore in danger of losing his men's 1,500 metres gold medal - which was also the first-ever Olympic medal for Bahrain.
