MANAMA: Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) welcomed US Ambassador Adam Ereli and provided him a presentation about the organisation's vision and strategic objectives.

BIBF director Garry Muriwai affirmed the importance of American affiliations at BIBF, and pointed particularly to BIBF's partnerships with the Darden School of Business and De Paul University.

Mr Ereli outlined some of the broad objectives of the American Embassy, including promoting the US-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and continuously improving local business owners' awareness of the benefits of and opportunities under it.

The visit concluded with discussions of ways the US Embassy and BIBF can co-operate to improve the intellectual capital of the Bahraini market and how BIBF can further support professional development in Bahrain and in the region.
