 Crown Prince hails economic vision 

Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa ascribed Bahrain's economic success to the goals set by the leadership in attributing the outcome of development to citizens.

The leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, combined with the efforts of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, setting growth and advancement of national economy as the main target, are essentials factors of this success, he said.

The clear vision, discipline and intellectual advancement that went hand in hand with the vision and strategic plan set by the Kingdom of Bahrain defined the financial and economic policy of the kingdom and protected it from many of the difficulties that faced the region during the global financial crisis, said the Crown Prince.

Shaikh Salman was speaking as he met Raja Nazrin Shah, the Crown Prince of the State of Perak, Malaysia and his delegation in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

The Crown Prince emphasised the importance of the global financial crisis in highlighting the strength of Islamic economic systems, considering that a historical opportunity awaits Bahrain and Malaysia in nurturing it and giving it an international identity making it a key player in global economy.

Shaikh Salman said the bilateral relation between the two countries have the potential of taking practical and strategic steps in Islamic economic policies.

He praised the Malaysian economic experience being unique in combining the capitalism and market economy spirit along with the Islamic way of thinking.

Shaikh Salman gave his guest a review on the economic profile of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which looks forward to establishing strong links with Malaysia in this domain.

He said the Economic Vision 2030, based on justice, sustainability and competitiveness ensures that Bahrain reaches its hopes and ambition in an exemplary manner.

The Crown Prince and Economic Development Board Chairman held a luncheon in honour of Raja Nazrin Shah, attended by the Deputy Premier, ministers and top officials.
