ROYAL Golf Club (RGC) general manager and PGA Professional Michael Braidwood led his Environmental Turf Technology (ETT) team to victory yesterday in the club's second annual Pro Am Tournament with a score of 87 points.
Braidwood's team, consisting of Matthew Perry, Richard Fortmuller and David Goodchild, each received Gulf Air tickets to the UK and a chance to spend a day in a corporate box at English football team's Queen Park Rangers ground.
Second overall were Club Car team of Kurtis Clement, Ahmed Bahar, Monty Gilleland, Mike Schlinke with 85 points. The team received tickets for a Sunset cruise sponsored by ART Marine
Also scoring 85 points was Captains 3 team of Rob Brightman, John Kaine, Duncan Steele, Ed Daly, whose prize was a Westfield Track Day, sponsored by Motorsport Middle East.
Another of the RGC's six PGA Professionals also enjoyed a great day. Scotsman Colin Ferguson took the prize for Top Professional performance with a superb four under par 68.
Richard Dinsdale, the pro at Parc Golf Academy in Wales, was second with a two under 70. Dinsdale has been in Bahrain for the past few days competing as a finalist in the Gulf Air PGA Pro Captain Challenge in which he and his partner Steve Williams were also runners up.
Third was Kurtis Clement (71), followed by Othman Almulla (72) in fourth while Chris Kelby (73) finished fifth.

"Project Systems Group hosted an excellent lunch for all the competitors after the competition and the superb prizes were a great incentive for everyone to play their very best game," he added.
