MANAMA: A major seminar will focus on the role of project management in development. The Project Management Institute -Arabian Gulf Chapter (PMI-AGC): Bahrain Branch is organising the seminar on Role of Project Management in National Development.

It will be held next Thursday at 7pm at the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) Auditorium under the patronage of Works Minister and Electricity & Water Authority head Fahmi Al Jowder.

"We will continue to provide useful project management's platforms and opportunities, for practitioners, engineers, planners, academicians and management to interact, share their experiences, improve their knowledge and showcase their projects and best practices," PMI-AGC: Bahrain Chapter Engineer A Majeed Al Ghassab said.

The seminar is being sponsored by Hill International, @ Bahrain, Scott Wilson and D G Jones and partners.

It will feature two presentations, "Lean Construction Project Management" by Jeddah Municipality technical adviser Dr Ghaffar Imtiaz and "Project Management Facilitates Governance & Transparency" by PMI-AGC: Bahrain Branch director Rizwan Mumtaz.
