First of all, the notion that equipment should not be imported because it could be used for piracy is absurd.

That is like saying we should stop importing knives because they could be used to kill people.

Secondly, if the government encourages this, then it is encouraging monopoly, a state of affairs that all international treaties that the government has entered into, totally disagree with. Showtime, Orbit and ART are monopolies that should not be protected.

Furthermore, if they need government support, they need to provide the service at cost. They have all the market to themselves, and yet they charge huge fees.

They also get revenue from the advertising that comes on every two minutes. So, please do not tell me about the poor "rich" service providers.
