TWO sons of a Bahraini MP, who allegedly attacked three members of the ruling family with a wrench, yesterday denied the charges.
The brothers, in their 20s, appeared before the Lower Criminal Court for the first time where they pleaded not guilty to assault.
A third brother, who was earlier released from police custody, failed to show up for the hearing.
All three allegedly attacked three brothers from the Al Khalifa family following an argument in Riffa over the weekend, according to court documents.
One of the suspects was reportedly driving in a Riffa neighbourhood designated for the ruling family when he got into a row with one of the alleged victims.
He is said to have called his two brothers before all three allegedly attacked one of the ruling family members, in his 20s, who in turn called his two brothers and a major fight broke out.
The judge adjourned the case to January 24 for review and to submit defence arguments.
