MANAMA: Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah yesterday met His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and his delegation at Bayal Palace.

Present were Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister Shaikh Nasser Al Mohammed Al Ahmed Al Sabah and senior officials.

Shaikh Sabah hailed strong ties linking the two countries, stressing that these outstanding relations were supported by both leaderships and peoples.

HRH Prince Khalifa conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad to the Kuwaiti Amir and wishes of further development to his people.

He said the visit is part of the kingdom's efforts to strengthen its ties with Kuwait in all fields.

"This visit is considered a real translation of strong and deep-rooted relations linking the two brotherly countries and an affirmation of the affectionate ties between them which are becoming firmer day by day in light of the kind guidance of His Majesty and Shaikh Sabah," he said.

He hailed Kuwaiti-Bahraini ties as a role model to all relations among brothers and hoped his talks would further solidify them.

Shaikh Sabah held a lunch banquet in honour of HRH the Prime Minister and his delegation which was attended by the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, the Prime Minister and senior officials.

HRH Prince Khalifa was welcomed on arrival at the airport by the Prime Minister, First Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Dr Shaikh Mohammed Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah and other senior officials.

Earlier, he was seen off by senior officials, the Muharraq governor and the Kuwaiti charge d'affaires.
