I WOKE up early this morning to start my busy day
I bumped into people at home and work where they say
Wish you all the best of luck in the coming year
I froze my face and said sorry mind my ear
They said 2012 is reaching an end very soon
I said it went too fast like a night of the full moon
I asked them do you feel the same as I feel
Or is it just me overestimating what is real
They said no, you have to wake up and let's celebrate
Join the happiness with us before it is too late
I wondered what is the point of this party
Are we really happy or is it just a formality
How can you expect me to be happy and thrilled
While my precious dream is still not fulfilled
It is hard to pretend and distribute fake smiles
Since this dream is far away within million miles
Their faces were confused with question and doubt
Asking me which dream are you talking about
I said this dream is not only in my mind
It's in yours and theirs, a dream for all mankind
They got more puzzled and said tell us please
I was not sure should I smile or cry, It's peace
