DEFENCE witnesses will be summoned in the case of 24 men implicated in a bomb blast in Eker that killed a policeman and injured another.
Imran Ahmed Mohammed died when a projectile fired from around 200 metres exploded after it hit him last October.
Three of the suspects, aged between 21 and 28, have been charged with premeditated murder and the others have been accused of assault, arson and possessing Molotov cocktails.
However, 18 of the suspects are still at large and are being tried in absentia at the High Criminal Court.
The case was adjourned until September 23 to summon the witnesses.
