Major new milestone for online jobs portal

MANAMA: Online employment and careers service provider Jobs4Bahrainis.com has marked yet another milestone.

A total of 147 leading companies are now enrolled on the site following a strategic partnership with Tamkeen, signed in November last year.

Jobs4Bahrainis.com placed two chemical engineers with Haldor Topsoe, a global supplier of catalysts and technologies headquartered in Denmark, which is currently expanding its operations in Bahrain.

"As an international market leader in our field, Haldor Topsoe needs the very best people to help us achieve the highest standards of delivery at the local level," Haldor Topsoe Bahrain general manager Thomas Vadum la Cour said.

"With a pool of skilled Bahraini talent available to select from, Jobs4Bahrainis.com has proved to be a valuable 'go-to' resource to meet our engineering skills needs, while helping us fulfil our commitment to recruiting and developing top Bahraini talent as we expand our local capabilities."

Speaking of the latest recruitments - which bring to approximately 20 the number of candidates sourced for leading companies in the kingdom in recent months, Jobs4Bahrainis.com managing director Jubran Abdulrahman said: "Chemical engineering is a highly specialised field, and our ability to match the exacting skills needs of a global leader such as Haldor Topsoe with available local talent underlines the faith placed in us by renowned international companies and qualified Bahraini job-seekers.

"We trust that the two chemical engineers recently recruited by Haldor Topsoe will play a key role for the company as it expands its operations in Bahrain," he added.

The latest successes for the portal and its mission to help qualified Bahrainis find employment are underpinned by the partnership with Tamkeen, by which Tamkeen meets 100 per cent of the costs previously charged to companies and job-seekers to use the portal.

Many leading employers in Bahrain have since taken advantage of the service, posting jobs vacancies and viewing the filtered CVs of some of the 14,500 job-seekers currently signed up to the site free of charge.

Fully aligned with the Economic Vision 2030, Jobs4Bahrainis.com is designed to promote Bahrainis as the employees of choice by showcasing a community of available talent and skills.

As well as offering a comprehensive CV database and job vacancy upload capability, the portal has searchable databases for employers and job-seekers, as well as a business newsfeed providing the latest economic and business updates on the economy.
